Adam and I aren't vegan, but we love trying out healthy-yet-delicious local food. That's why we headed to The Leaf and Seed Cafe for a daytime date! We'd heard so many good things about it. Susan Herhold, the owner, is so passionate about vegan cuisine that even her sugar is vegan (in case you didn't know, lots of sugar actually has bone shards in it. That's right...bone shards). Here's a rundown of everything we tried:
The mac n' cheese was so thick and creamy, you would never know that the cheese was dairy free!
This Mediterranean wrap was filling and healthy, with roasted red pepper humus and tahini dressing. Mmmm!
Our loaded fries were made with soy chorizo and cheese and sour cream made from cashews. They were delish.
Finally, you know we had to get our sweet on with this strawberry muffin! It was super moist and had lots of strawberry bits evenly distributed throughout.
To try all of these items and more, check out The Leaf and Seed Cafe's website and follow them on social media. They are an amazing vegan option in the 419!
